Staycation

For my birthday I wanted to do a stay-cation at a local hotel with a pool for the kids. We decided on the Hyatt in HB for Saturday night and it was even better than we hoped. The weather was fantastic and the hotel was perfect. People travel thousands of miles to stay at that hotel and we are lucky it is right down the street.

Plus they have waterslides, so the kids were in heaven. Kids in heaven = adults in heaven.

Hanging Out

Hudson wasnt feeling good this weekend so I kept him home from school on Monday. I took him to work with me for a couple hours then to lunch:



After lunch, we picked Cannon up from school and went to see Madagascar 3:

Then Tuesday we went to swimming lessons.

On Tuesday night we went to dinner with Ryan, Cat, Gia and Rowen. The boys wore this:

Father's Day

It is no secret that Mother's Day is my favorite day of the year. But you can go ahead and put Father's Day up there with best days of the year too. I love celebrating the dads in my life and what better reason to get together?

JR got up early to go golfing, so when the boys woke up we decorated the door with special markers.


And colored pictures for the front door.


So JR could see them when he got home.


Then opening presents. Cannon loves that his card to Daddy sings a song.

Happy Father's Day! So many great dads in my life and I am thankful there is a day to celebrate all you do for us.

Pool Day

Catt and I took the kids to the pool yesterday! They had so much fun, of course. Beautiful day! Can't wait to go back! I love summer!!







He fell and cut his leg and so I held him while he cried himself to sleep... and then I moved him to a chair in the shade. I cannot believe I now have a kid that will sleep at the pool.

Memorial Day at the River

We went to the river Memorial Weekend. It isnt a weekend we normally go because of the crowds, but the weather was perfect and it worked out well.
