More Family Photos

I received all the photos taken by Jim Breen a few months back and I have to post some more because I love them so much.

HudDog and CanMan

Hudson and Cannon are becoming best friends! It's not like they were enemies before. Hudson just used to ignore Cannon for the most part. And now Hudson wants to play with him. Hudson even cried the other day when I told him to wait downstairs while I went upstairs to get Cannon who was waking from a nap. He wanted to come too. When he does go with me to get Cannon, he yells "No crying Cannon. We are coming!" And he climbs up the crib to look inside and tell Cannon it is all right. Bigger still, is Hudson is sharing some of his toys with Cannon. And he will hold Cannon too - but you have to be careful, because when Hudson is done, he is DONE and you have to be there to grab Cannon. I am so excited and cant wait to watch them continue to play.

5 Months Old

Cannon is 5 Months old today! He is laughing, rolling, scooting, and still sleeping like a newborn! He loves attention, watching Hudson play, bath time, chilling in the bjorn, being outside, watching the dogs play, and shoving all toys into his mouth. He is getting strong and practicing sitting up all by himself now. He hasnt eaten any real food yet but he sure is ready... always watching us and reaching for our snacks... poor guy - I feel bad eating in front of him now (too bad he has very sensitive skin/reactions, so our pediatrician recommended waiting to feed him real food)! We love watching our CanMan grow and smile at us every day.

Ready Made Magazine

Even though I had never heard of Ready Made magazine until recently, I had to go out and buy multiple copies.... because Hudson is in it this month!!

First Family River Trip

Our first family river trip was a lot of fun...and quite a bit different than river trips past! The kids did great once we got out there and they both love being outside and on the boat so I'm sure we will be making many more trips!

The plan is to have Cannon and Hudson nap underneath the boat. Cannon slept for 2 seconds while I took the picture then he woke up because he didnt want to miss anything. We will see if this works next time...

The story of our lives... Always at least one kid awake...usually Cannon.

4 month & 2 year checkups

Cannon had his 4 month check up and Hudson had his 2 year check up today. Here are the stats:

~ Cannon weighs 13 pounds. He is a little guy, only in the 5th percentile for weight but growing, so no one is too concerned. He is 26 inches long and in the 55% for height.

~ Hudson is 28 pounds (in the 50th percentile) and is 3 feet tall (though it was hard to get this measurement because he didnt want to stand against the wall with the thing coming down on his head. I looked down and one of his legs was lunging forward so this may be inaccurate). Either way he is in the 75% for height.

The funniest part about the appointment today was when the doctor asked me if Hudson knew more than 20 words (I am guessing that this is a typical 2 year appointment question/test). Anyone that talks to Hudson knows that he knows more than 20 words... so many more than 20 words that that question is funny. This child is so verbal that I dont even know where to start with a question like that.

It was too hectic in the doctor's office to take any pictures today... plus, it would have just been a lot of crying... so here are some random pictures from the last couple weeks.

Matchy-Match

When I dressed the boys this morning, I noticed they matched - they both had Skurvy on (the PF Skull)... I think I am going to be that mom that makes their kids wear matching stuff. I would have never thought I would do that - but I think it's cute. Haha.

Pictures from Hudson's 2nd Birthday

We, of course, had to do a Thomas the Train party for Hudson's 2nd. After I had bought all the Thomas stuff, I showed him a Thomas cake and a Nemo cake and he picked the Nemo cake. The little stinker (I bought the Thomas one). It was crazy to see how many kids my close group of friends and family have had over the past two years... I wish I would have remembered to get them all together to take photo. Bummer.

Blakley Emerson Kutz is here!


Born April 5th and weighing 7 pounds 2 ounces, 20 inches, Blakley is already so loved. Congratulations Lauren and Brent!!

Hudson is TWO!

I think JR and I are still in shock that our baby boy is 2 years old today. It seriously seems like yesterday that we were in that delivery room meeting him for the first time. We have both been super emotional about it and find ourselves talking about how cool we think he is, how smart he is, and how much we love him. So he had a fun filled day on his second birthday... with lots more to come this weekend!
