Get Out of Your Sweats Already

We have been staying home more than usual this week since we are working on getting Cannon to sleep better so I am embarassed to say I havent been getting all dressed up. I would l-o-v-e to get dressed up every day, wear some heels, jewelry, do my makeup... but most of the time I have no business doing art projects and walking in the bushes with Hudson wearing such stuff. Well today I came downstairs in a dress and Hudson ran over and gave me a hug and said "Mommy's a princess!" Awe... I gotta get out of my sweats and uggs more often.

And yes, Hudson likes to hang in the bushes, mud, trees, etc. Another side story - he was in the yard in the bushes and came running out yesterday crying pretty badly. I thought he got hurt and kept asking him what happened and where he was hurt. He said "I just got scared." How cute is that. He got scared in the bushes and came out and said he needed a hug.

3 Months

My little Cannon is 3 months old! My boys are getting older!

We heart Cousins

Hudson has so much fun with all his cousins! Ana came over this past weekend and played with Hudson for awhile. They were so good together and had such a good time. They got cupcakes to celebrate Papa's (JR's dad) birthday, even though Papa wasnt there!

And then last week, all the cousins from my side of the family got together over here for the first time - everyone is finally healthy enough to hang out! We got some cute pics... (Not sure if you can tell, but Hudson has a major fat lip in these photos).

Cousins from left to right: Rowen (in Catt's belly, due March 30th), Cannon, Gia, Hudson, Liliana. Love the big smiles from the big kids in this one:

Cannon and Lila (just 6 weeks apart). She has caught up to him and they weigh the same amount!

"I Need That" & "I Love Rectangles"

I think kids say such funny things. Here are a couple recent ones from Hudson...

Hudson was watching some show this morning and got really interested in the commercial for this toy dog that can swim when it is put in water. Hudson said "I need that!" I asked him what he needed it for and he replied "I need that for the bath!" I asked him where to get it from and he said "At the store! I need money. I dont have any in pockets.... I need bigger pockets!"
Where did he learn 'need' from??? And I guess these commercials work on kids...

I handed Hudson a graham cracker while he was in the jogger today. He put his hands together in an excited clasp and said "I love rectangles!" He is so funny.

Big Bear

We packed up the kids, the dogs and all the stuff they need and headed to Big Bear over Valentine's weekend for the snow storm. It is so beautiful right now and everyone loved it. Hudson loved playing in the snow and even the dogs played in the snow even though we tried to get them to go in by the heaters. Cannon stayed snuggled up inside, of course... maybe next time.

It snowed so much that we piled it all off the balcony to the point where we could slide off the back to the ground below (the dogs are standing on snow up to the second story).

Hudson and JR went sledding off the balcony until Hudson tipped over and landed in a pile of snow, minus one boot. It was pretty funny seeing him come in all covered in white snow.

Hudson all bundled up to go into town... He said "Hudson is very very hot." We all laughed because he was bundled in so many clothes... but I love that he can tell us stuff like this now!

Thanks to my parents for letting us crash their Valentine's weekend and share it with us!! I'm sure it was a lot different with Hudson and the rest of us there...

Huddy & Canny

Thomas the Train

Thomas the Train came to town a couple weeks ago and Gia and Hud had a ton of fun. Hudson cried for a few minutes when it got dark but stopped as soon as Thomas came out and then spent the rest of the show asking me "Where's Gordan?" "Where's James?" "Where's Edward?"

Hudson all decked out in his Thomas shirt, Thomas shoes and Thomas tattoo on his hand (with a Thomas sweatshirt that he isnt wearing in this photo).

They are Out to Get Us

All of you out there that said Baby Number 2 would be so easy and sleep so well were W-R-O-N-G. Apparently my kids (whether Number 1, 2 and I am sure Number 3) do not sleep. It is crazy. Newborns should sleep. I remember someone even said, "Your second will sleep so much you will think something is wrong." Well my second sleeps so little, I think something is wrong (and I remember thinking the exact same thing with Hudson). Last night, JR called Cannon our little Hudson Jr.

Thank goodness Hudson has been sleeping well. Except last night he was up a couple times with nightmares. So, long after our normal bedtime, JR and I were still up with the kids. One of us with Hudson and the other with Cannon. We had to laugh... it is part of being parents... but we couldnt help but think the boys were out to get us. It seemed that as soon as one was quiet, the other would start up. I am sure this is just the beginning.

These photos of Cannon 'sleeping' are funny because JR and I were talking about how Cannon finally went to sleep during dinner and how cute he looked... seriously, right then, he opened his eyes and looked at us as if to say, "NOPE - still not sleeping!"

Random Cuteness

Here are a couple random pictures I took with my cell phone. Hopefully, I find my missing camera soon.

Hudson's art project that we brought home. Surprisingly, the paint stayed mostly on the paper.

Sitting brothers.

Hudson and Cannon holding hands in the car... Hudson now tries to soothe crying Cannon by holding his hand, patting his head, talking to him ("It's ok Cannon" or "It's all right Cannon") and putting a paciifer (usually backwards) into Cannon's mouth.
