Mother's Day

These two crazies allow me to celebrate Mother's day

It is well known that Mother's Day is one of my favorite days of the year. I usually spend it with my mom and sis-in-law and Grandma and other women (no kids!) at brunch but this year my mom was out of town. So JR took it upon himself to plan the day. We went down to the Hyatt on Saturday night with the kiddos and had dinner and did smores by the firepit. The next morning I had a massage and then we spent the day by the pool. It was awesome. I love the Hyatt. It is close and easy and suuuuper nice. And kid-friendly!

Matchy match(only on Mother's day)

My big boy

My little man

Cannon fell asleep on my lap at the pool.

I transferred him to the chair.

Then carried him when it was time to leave.

Random Shots

Here are some of my favorite recent random shots...

Hudson had a dress-up day at school a few weeks ago. Love it!

The warm weather is also something we have been loving! Pool day!

Cannon in Daddy's hard hat.

Golf lessons with Uncle Ryan.

I took Cannon to the Sugar Shack for breakfast and we sat by a picture of Grandma Barbara from the 90s!

Everytime we drive by the Turnip Rose, the kids talk about how that is the place we got married. One day after school we parked and went in. They were so excited to see where we got married, it was funny!

Hudson wanting to workout after me.

A hospital visit for Cannon after a peanut incident. Not fun but he is totally fine!

Fun summer nights! Can't wait for school to be done!

Big 35

JR turned 35 on May 5th. We had a great dinner with some friends - got an old school limo to drive us around. We definitely realized the next morning that we are not 25 anymore. But that's ok... I love watching JR grow older and am still surprised and impressed every day.

Beach Day

A few weeks ago, when it was really hot, I took Hud, Can and Row to the beach after school. They were wild as usual but had so much fun. Can't wait for school to be out to have more beach days and pool days with them!

Fireball Tigers

The fireball tigers have had an awesome season and I am sad it is almost over! It has been so much fun to watch and Cannon loves it -- and he is really good! All 6 boys on the team are from Cannon's class at school so they just love each and have the best time out there on the field. Can't wait for next season!

Hudson is Six

I cannot believe Hudson is 6! We recently read the book called I Love You Forever. If you havent read that book, I dare you to read it without crying. Impossible. It is a children's book about a mom who rocks her son every night when he is deeply sleeping, even when he grows big, and sings to him "I love you forever...". She sings to him until she is too old and her adult son has to come to her house and rock his old mom and sings to her "I love you forever..." and then goes home and starts rocking his own child with the song. It is a tear jerker. And it reminds us all that this time goes fast. And our babies grow up. And sometimes we want the time to go fast and sometimes we cant wait to get out of a stage (no sleep, Terrible 3s that turned into Terrible 4s, etc) but be careful what you wish for because time does continue. And it is fast.

And now Hudson is 6. And I can barely carry him but I still try!

He was so excited to get a skeleton for his birthday!

And a skeleton book to go with it!

We went to the movies and saw the Croods (his birthday was during Spring Break).

And we went to dinner at Benihana with his friend.

Happy Birthday Hudson, I love you forever.
