Hudson finally remembering how to spell his long last name all by himself. For a long time he would say "It starts with R-E-Y" and then he said "R-E-Y-N-O" and now he has it all down. Long last names are hard!

River Rats

We went to the river this weekend. I wasn't expecting it to be as hot as it was -- the weather ended up being wonderful and warm so we spent our afternoons by the water.

I love this picture. When I look at it, I feel like I have a glimpse of what they will look like as teenagers.


Making a monster truck stadium... it kept them really busy.

Roadtrip to New Mexico, Part I

The boys, my mom and I drove to New Mexico a couple weeks ago to visit my grandparents. The drive was long but the kids were awesome. We stopped at some great places along the way. Outside Phoenix, we hit some traffic and decided to stop for the night. We randomly got off the freeway when we saw some hotels. The first was booked. The second one we checked in to and looked out our window to see a boat on a tiny man-made river. Since the boys needed to get outside, we went down to the boat to see where it went.



It went to an Old Western Town. It was like finding Disneyland. But for free.
