Summer Uniform

I wont let the kids leave the house in pajamas but yet I think this is not only totally acceptable, but pretty much what these boys wear every day:

Swim Update

Hudson got the orange bracelet at swimming last week for being able to go into the water and flip over to his back by himself. He is loving the water and lessons!

Painting

Painting is so much fun. Especially when we paint without paper...

He drew "animal tracks" on his legs.

Our white flowers looks so much better with a splash of blue.

Washed him off in the pool.

Cannon ~ 9 Months

Cannon is 9 months old! But he is still my little baby. And he is still very skinny. Too skinny. So for the first time in 9 months we are trying to push a little fattening-formula down him to pack on some extra calories. He hates it, so I wouldnt say he is drinking it yet. I am still nursing just also trying to add in some extra meals (solids and formula). Happy and active as can be.

He tried swim lessons because he loves water... but the chlorine was too drying for his already sensitive skin.

Big boys.

Hudson at School, Swim, Park & Melting Down

Hudson's teachers are kind enough to take a ton of pictures of the kids during the school day. And what I saw in the photos (and was told by the teachers) this week fit my picture of what Hudson does at school perfectly.

It was career week and they had a police woman come and visit. He was the first one to run up to her and get a sticker badge. And then he was also her helper for the day. Though he would NOT get in the back of her car for a look around like all the other kids.

Here is the class with the veterinarian. Hudson is in the front with the blue shirt on. Totally not surprised that he wiggled his way past the other kids to get in the front, closest to the litter of kittens.

At swimming lessons, he loves the barbell and tries to get out of all the other techniques (floating on back, going under). He is quite the pursuader at the young age of 2.

At the park, he found a new way to go down the slide.

And having a meltdown on the sidewalk. He didnt want to walk and he didnt want to ride in the stroller. He chose to sit on the sidewalk and scream for a little while.

Grocery Shopping

Grocery shopping with both boys just got a little easier - and a little more fun for them. (I ran into a bit of trouble when I was leaving though because I couldnt take the cart out of the store - it had one of those poles that wouldnt clear the door. So, I had two boys in the car, a cart load of groceries, a large purse and only two hands to get them to the car. I ended up having to transfer my entire load into a regular cart. Sigh.).

Pool Day

We have been keeping busy in the summer sun. Both my boys love being outside (of course) and they both l-o-v-e the water.

Singing by Hudson

I have been trying to get some of these songs on video forever. Hudson is a huge singer. He picks up on sings immediately and is always singing something.

"Tuna Fish & Great White Shark"

"Table Manners"

"Mr. Canman" (this is a song we sing to Cannon. In case you can't understand, he is saying "Mr. Canman, bring me some dreams. Bring me the cutest boy I've ever seen." The next line, which he doesnt sing here, is "Make Hudson a star in your magazine.")

Hangin' with Cousins

Hangin' out with the cousins is always fun!

The oldest and youngest Reynolds cousins.

Everyone loves the trains.

The brothers.

Grammy took all the big kids to breakfast.

Big Bear August '09

We had a full house this weekend in Big Bear. Lots of family headed to Big Bear this weekend for a relaxing, often chaotic (5 kids under 2.5 years), and always fun time.

The group:

The babies - Liliana (7mos), Cannon (8mos), Rowen (4mos):

All 5 kiddos under 2.5 years:

Potty Time

Hudson is going pee in the toilet! Wooo Hooo! He is doing so wonderful on the potty training issue (pee-pee, at least)! Hudson has had one accident in the last 7 days!! He is doing so well and we are so proud of him. Pooping is another story (any tips for boys are welcome!). I cant seem to get through to him on it and/or I am not doing a good job explaining it to him because he doesnt understand. Or if he understands he cannot do it yet. But one step at a time. Peeing in the toilet is so huge and we are glad that he has come this far!!!
UPDATE: Hudson just went poop in the potty!

Canners

The last few weeks have been busy for Cannon. He is climbing the stairs, clapping his little hands, standing for a few seconds on his own...basically just moving, moving and more moving. He doesnt really like to be held right now because he wants to explore! Oh, and his top two teeth came in.

Fun at the Fair ~ 2009

We had to make a trip to the Fair this summer. The crowds, the heat, the overpriced fair games, the expensive food... can't miss it!
