Disney
Cannon went to Disneyland this last weekend for the first time with Grandpa, Auntie Tracy, Liliana Rose, Hudson and I. I think all the kids loved it. Hudson is a great age to take - so fun to see it through his eyes and hear what he has to say about it. And Liliana was very happy at the happiest place on earth squealing and saying WOW. And Cannon couldnt sit still. Pointing and screaming at everything he saw. He was funniest in the Submarine diving from window to window to see what other people were looking at - he didnt want to miss anything.

Hudson's First Time Skiing
I took Hudson skiing with me last week for his first time. I was very hesitant at first because I know how he can be if he is in one of his 'moods' and I didnt want to spend all the money on goggles, rentals and tickets for him to sit in the snow and refuse. I thought he could flip out and hate the goggles, or the boots, or the layers and layers of clothes. Or I thought he might get scared of the chair lift. I wasnt sure we would make it to the chair lift. I just wasnt sure what to expect. BUT, he did GREAT. He never cried or whined or complained or said NO. He let me put the uncomfortable boots on him, the goggles and all the layers. And he was FINE in the chair lift. I was pretty tired by the time I hiked up to the chair lift carrying both pairs of skiis and dragging Hudson (who couldnt walk in the snow while wearing the ski boots). Going down the first run he was yelling "YAY!" and screaming "GO FASTER." I am so glad we went. He loved it. And it was great to spend a little one on one time with him doing something that I grew up doing.

Oh and Hudson had perfect conditions his first time skiing. Tons of fresh powder, blue skies, and no wind (it stormed the night before we went and a few hours after we left the slopes). And because we went on a week day there was one other person on our run/chairlift. Driving down the mountain the following day wasnt as much fun in the storm but we made it.

Hudson Says

_____________________________________
JR to Hudson: Do you want to eat dinner at home or go out to dinner tonight?
Hudson: I want to go out.
JR: Where to?
Hudson: Paris.
JR: Paris is too far, we'd have to get on a plane. Do you know anywhere else you like to eat?
Hudson: Big Bear.

Me to Hudson: We are going to get your hair cut today at that place with the train table.
Hudson: I want to get my hair cut like a super hero.
Me: A superhero?
Hudson: Yes mommy, a super hero.
_____________________________________
Me to Hudson (who is dancing around rather oddly): Hudson, do you need to go poop?
Hudson: Yes mommy. I am going to do the biggest poop ever.
_____________________________________
Hudson: Mommy, can I have a hot dog for lunch?
Me: A hot dog?!
Hudson: Yes, a hot dog will make me grow as big as a moose.

Hudson: Mommy, I want the Single Ladies song on!
Me: Ok. [I put song on] Who put a ring on mommy?
Hudson: Daddy put a ring on mommy. [Then a pause while he thinks]. And mommy put a ring on Daddy too!

Climbing Cannon
Cannon is climbing on EVERYTHING. He has been for awhile now- remember this? He knows how to get up but doesnt know how to get down (other than nose diving). Makes for many falls, bumps, bruises, cuts, etc. Crazy boy!
Here are some pictures of the less dangerous situations I have caught him in. The more dangerous ones, I obviously couldnt pause to take a photo!
You can see that he uses other things to climb up onto the stuff he cant reach. In this picture he pushed the green plastic stool, climbing onto the chair and then got on the table.

He is real happy about this one - and I have caught him doing it many times since then.

He fell pretty bad after this climb even though it is a pretty short distance to fall.

Oh the couch. He LOVES climbing up the couch and he looks real cute sitting like a calm boy in this photo. But he tries to climb over the couch. And he tries to reach the huge painting that is hanging on the wall above the couch. And he has no clue how to get down off the couch. But he looks pretty cute and happy with himself in this photo (he uses the shorter coffee table and pushes it next to the couch in order to climb up to the couch. He is pretty close to being able to climb straight to the couch though)!

Climbing up - and then trying to climb over - the back of the car.
