Thomas the Train

Thomas the Train came to town a couple weeks ago and Gia and Hud had a ton of fun. Hudson cried for a few minutes when it got dark but stopped as soon as Thomas came out and then spent the rest of the show asking me "Where's Gordan?" "Where's James?" "Where's Edward?"

They are Out to Get Us

All of you out there that said Baby Number 2 would be so easy and sleep so well were W-R-O-N-G. Apparently my kids (whether Number 1, 2 and I am sure Number 3) do not sleep. It is crazy. Newborns should sleep. I remember someone even said, "Your second will sleep so much you will think something is wrong." Well my second sleeps so little, I think something is wrong (and I remember thinking the exact same thing with Hudson). Last night, JR called Cannon our little Hudson Jr.

Thank goodness Hudson has been sleeping well. Except last night he was up a couple times with nightmares. So, long after our normal bedtime, JR and I were still up with the kids. One of us with Hudson and the other with Cannon. We had to laugh... it is part of being parents... but we couldnt help but think the boys were out to get us. It seemed that as soon as one was quiet, the other would start up. I am sure this is just the beginning.

These photos of Cannon 'sleeping' are funny because JR and I were talking about how Cannon finally went to sleep during dinner and how cute he looked... seriously, right then, he opened his eyes and looked at us as if to say, "NOPE - still not sleeping!"

Random Cuteness

Hudson and Cannon holding hands in the car... Hudson now tries to soothe crying Cannon by holding his hand, patting his head, talking to him ("It's ok Cannon" or "It's all right Cannon") and putting a paciifer (usually backwards) into Cannon's mouth.

PF Star

We just found out that Hudson is going to be in a magazine next month for some Paul Frank ads! It's kind of a weird photo they chose/did but sooo cool that he is going to be in the ads!! He is also going to be on the Paul Frank website soon, so stay tuned!

I love how the photo says "hug the deejay" on it - and my little Hudman is the deejay!

Two Months Old

My little Cannon is growing so big! He is two months old today and we love him so much!
*Cannon weighs 10 pounds 7 ounces (20%) and is 23.5 inches tall (60%).

Palm Springs

Last weekend we went to Palm Springs. At first it seemed a little crazy to pack up a bunch of stuff for two kids when we have a pool and nice weather here at our own house. But I am so glad we went. When Hudson takes a nap at home, we dont go outside, lay out in the sun and read a book with a glass of wine.

Twins

Tonight when I was watching Hudson and JR play together, I suddenly realized that they are twins. They look so much alike... their smiles, their hair, their heads... haha. I used to think he looked like me too but maybe not!

I told Hudson to smile big for a chocolate chip (his potty treat is now a single chocolate chip so he knows they are good and smiled really big). Yes, i try to bribe him and am excited that it is starting to work sometimes>

Liliana Rose. It's a GIRL for Adam and Tracy! Liliana was born 1-4-09 at 1:33pm weighing in at 7 pounds 14 ounces. Everyone is happy and healthy and just perfect!

Cousins Cannon and Liliana - exactly 6 weeks apart.


We are all so excited Liliana is here! That makes 4 cousins (Gianna born in 2006, Hudson 2007, Cannon 2008 and Liliana 2009). We love her so much already!

2009

I cannot believe 2008 is over. It was another big year for our family. JR and I both turned 30 and Hudson turned 1! But more important, 2008 will be remembered as Cannon's birth year and will forever be special because of it.
2009 will hopefully be a little more mellow for us. Our 3rd anniversary is next week, Hudson turns 2 in April and of course, Cannon will be 1 at the end of the year. We do not plan on getting pregnant again this year - though it would be funny since I was pregnant in 2006 and 2007 (with Hudson) and then 2008 with Cannon and then if we did get pregnant it would be the end of 2009 and 2010... so that would mean that I would be pregnant in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010. Haha. I guess that isnt that funny.
Anyways, we hope everyone had a safe and happy New Year and we wish you the best for 2009!
