Cannon's First Day of School

I cannot believe my baby started preschool today. We have been talking about it for ages, so even though I was nervous this morning, Cannon seemed fine. In the car on the way to school, Cannon said "Don't come in mom. I'm fine."





I called to talk to the principal and she said Cannon was getting an A+ for first days of school!




And when I picked them up, this is what I saw. He's asleep.



In the car on the way home, Hudson said "Cannon was running from me so I had to chase him to watch him." As if Hudson was in charge of babysitting him while I was gone.

Fair

Kelly and I took the boys to the fair on Friday for the pig races.




And then played some games (and won a stuffed animal for each of them).



And then... Hud wanted to go on the big roller coaster with me!

Dinosaur Museum

We went to the Natural History Museum to see the new dinosaur exhibit that opened this month. The kids have been talking about it for months because people send us newspaper articles that pertain to dinos and so they have known about this for a long time. In the weeks leading up to it, they would wake up and ask "Is today Dinosaur museum day?"

We got there so early no one was there (standard). And it was nice.

Before we got to the museum, Cannon said he was most excited to see a Pteranodon.

I took this picture because Hudson came up to this and said, pointing from left to right, "Triceratops, Styracosaurus and Einiosaurus". I looked down at the description which confirmed he was right.

Rolling in the Deep

Haha. The boys were putting on a show for me today. I think Cannon's eyes closed are hilarious. And I am not convinced he isnt saying "Rowen in the deep" after his cousin. I like that Hudson told me after "We only know one line, Mom!"

Concerts in the Park

We went back for more concert in the park fun last night and brought some friends this time... Can't wait for next week!

Ready for Preschool

I am so excited for Cannon to start preschool. I think he will love it. And his brother goes there so Cannon is excited that he is "big" enough to go now. Hudson's school is for potty-trained only and I am so happy we are there with Cannon. I have been taking Cannon to drop off Hudson forever, but now on Fridays Cannon and I stay to play. I wanted to get him comfortable with everything and I think we are there. He doesnt start until August and yet he is already crying when we have to leave. I am sure we will have our hard moments - especially when he realizes I leave him there- but I know he will have fun and play with all the kids who already know him. I cant believe my stinker is big enough for school. Part of me is sad and part of me is so excited to grocery shop by myself.
